I know that just about everyone has talked and seriously considered doing this with the friends, so how many go about doing it? These the relationship is ideal for strengthening the relationships with our loved ones, saving cash on gas and now we lower our emissions to the environment!
How to put together an automobile pooling activity:
Contact your mates that you check out school with. This is ideal for secondary school and college students. I actually car pooled with my buddy for an entire semester – he drove 1 week, I drove the next.
There are 15 weeks in the semester so he found themselves driving 8 weeks and me 7. The normal commute (for both) was 21 miles or about $2.50 every day. Multiply that by Eco friendly food packaging = $10 each week. Instead of me spending $150+ for driving to class, I spent only $70 (good estimate), Saving me over 50 % of the price of driving that semester. great huh?
How relating to this for the better example, that I wish I could have done:
Find 3 people, as opposed to 2, who have similar class schedules. Therefore you drive only 5 weeks per person. Normal, alone = $150/Semester putting (21x4x15) 1,260 miles on the car OR with 3 people = $50/Semester putting (21x4x5) 420 miles on your own car. Not only will you save gas money, however are actually lowering your next date with all the oil change service and new tires!
Now this could be employed in extremely situations along with your work/office commute, obtaining children from soccer practice, trips to market etc.
